About
our project

The Silk Keffiyeh Project, ເເຄະເຟຍ ຜ້າໄຫມ, is a textile-art project aimed at sparking discussion and deeper reflection among the Lao and Southeast Asian diaspora about their relationship with the Palestinian people. In both SEA and Palestinian cultures, weaving and textiles are unique, integral parts to their identity.

This project hopes to bridge the gap between the two through this common cultural pillar. Using fine Lao silk instead of the usual Palestinian cotton, the Silk Keffiyeh is a symbol of the interwoven anti-imperialist struggles faced by the Lao people of the past and the Palestinian people of today.
